霍華德・錢德勒・羅賓斯（Howard Chandler Robbins，1876–1952）
羅賓斯是二十世紀上半葉美國聖公會的重要聖職人員、神學教育者及聖詩作者。
他於1876年出生於費城，1899年畢業於耶魯大學，後入讀聖公會神學院，1903年成為會吏，1904年被按立為司祭。他先後牧養新澤西及紐約的堂區，1917年至1929年間擔任紐約聖約翰座堂（Cathedral of St. John the Divine）主任牧師（Dean）。1929年起轉任紐約聖公會總神學院（General Theological Seminary）牧養神學教授，直到1941年。
他亦積極參與美國聖詩學工作，1933至1935年曾任美國聖詩學會（Hymn Society of America）主席。除〈Now Yield We Thanks and Praise〉之外，他還創作或翻譯多首聖詩，包括〈Put Forth, O God, Thy Spirit's Might〉、〈And Have the Bright Immensities〉等。 〈Now Yield We Thanks and Praise〉寫於1929年，正是羅賓斯由聖約翰座堂轉往總神學院任教的年代。它後來收入《The Hymnal 1940》，又被1982年美國聖公會《The Hymnal 1982》繼續收錄為第108首，可見它已成為二十世紀美國聖公會聖誕聖詩傳統的一部分。
